End of February

The roof is mainly formed and complete now, meaning I can use the inside of the building for storing tools etc which is very useful.

Time marching on, roof closing in.

It's been dry all week and hopefully the roof will be sheeted and the roof-shield laid on it by the end of tomorrow so I can back to Kilmuir for a few days.

Half a roof

The rafters on the first side of the roof went up this afternoon. What a beautiful sunset it was too.

Washed away

Torrential rain for the last few hours has led to us being surrounded by streams of water; some serious surface drainage required around the top of the garden.

Ridge Beam

With some assistance the kerto ridge beam went up - 3 separate beams bolted together.

South Gable

The south gable went up in sections as the drizzle settled in.

The ground floor

A pretty wild day but that's all the ground floor panels up now.

Taking Shape

The first panels that went up survived the 29/30th January gales and the last two days has seen great dry and relatively calm days to get some more of the kit up.
